Ability 1st is a non-profit, community-based agency that provides services to persons with all kinds of disabilities. The agency serves six counties in Leon, Jefferson, Madison, Taylor, Gadsden and Wakulla.
Agency for Workforce Innovation
The Agency for Workforce Innovation is responsible for implementing policy in the areas of workforce development, welfare transition, unemployment compensation, labor market information, early learning and school readiness.
Apalachee Center for Human Services

Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross
The American Red Cross has been serving Tallahassee and the surrounding area since 1917. In the past 83 years, the American Red Cross has provided a helping hand by reaching out to local residents, and last year touched the lives of more than 10,500 people in the eight counties that we serve. The American Red Cross provided a "helping hand" that was needed following a disaster, helping to get loved ones home from the military during an emergency, training people in first aid, CPR, swimming and HIV/AIDS courses.
Capital Area Community Action Agency
To provide a comprehensive, seamless system of services and resources to reduce the detrimental effects of poverty, empower low-income citizens with skills and motivation to become self-sufficient, and improve the overall quality of their lives and our community.
Department of Agriculture (US Forestry)
The Senior Community Employment Program (SCSEP) is funded under Title V of the Older Americans Act and serves persons with low incomes who are 55 years old or over and who desire job training, supplemental income and an opportunity to provide valuable service to their communities. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, operates its program through an Interagency Agreement that is negotiated annually with the U.S. Department of Labor. Nationally thousands of SCSEP enrollees assist Forest Service units with the agency mission of "caring for the land and serving the people".

The mission of the Department of Children and Families is to protect the vulnerable, promote strong and economically self-sufficient families, advance personal and family recovery and resiliency.
DISC Village
DISC Village, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization that provides a wide variety of treatment and rehabilitative services to more than 10,000 individuals and families. The primary mission of DISC Village, Inc. is to promote the well being of individuals, families and those with whom they are closely associated who are adversely affected by alcohol and other drug abuse, crime, behavioral problems and mental health disorders. DISC Village, Inc. is accredited through CARF-The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission and licensed by the State of Florida.
Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend
The purpose of the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) of the Big Bend Region is to provide leadership and advocacy that builds a community where all children are prepared for success in school. Serving Gadsden, Taylor, Madison, Wakulla, Jefferson, Liberty, and Leon Counties, ELC of Big Bend creates a seamless system of services to better prepare children for entry into kindergarten.
ECHO
ECHO (Emergency Care Help Organization) has been serving Leon County, Florida for more than 25 years. The faith-based agency will directly assist more than 9,000 people each year. Our clients are served in one of three divisions: Emergency Services, Homeless Family Services and Employment Services. With a staff of 12 and a large volunteer base, our programs are designed to assist people in their efforts to become independent, productive and stable. We believe that encouragement, planning and hope will be the impetus for lasting change. With opportunities and incentives, those who live under the burden of poverty will pull themselves from its grip and lead fuller and more productive lives.
Employment Network Alliance (ENA)
The Employment Network Work Alliance (ENA) mission is to develop a "network" between employment agencies and organizations to assist disabled, dislocated or disadvantaged workers in finding gainful employment in their community.
The ENA is designed to create collaboration effort between employment providers in the big bend area.
Each employment agency provides unique support and services required to meet the employment demands of consumers, clients and applicants.
Experience Works
Experience Works is a national, non-profit organization that provides training, employment assistance and local community service assignments to low-income seniors under the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), which is funded under Title V of the Older Americans Act.
FAAST
The FAAST mission is to improve the quality of life for all Floridians with disabilities through advocacy and awareness activities that increase access to and acquisition of assistive services and technology.
Forward March
Forward March is an employability training program whose clients learn by doing in an activity-based curriculum. Moreover, all activities are reality-based, allowing the clients to see the relevance of the skills they are learning as well as giving them an opportunity to practice those skills in a real life setting.
Goodwill Industries of the Big Bend
The main objective of Goodwill Industries - Big Bend, Inc. is to help people with disabilities and other barriers find employment. Career development centers in Tallahassee, Panama City and Thomasville provide job counseling, evaluation and placement through certified case managers.
Legal Services of North Florida
Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) is a private non-profit corporation dedicated to providing free legal representation to low income people with civil legal problems. Client eligibility is based on financial income and asset guidelines set by the federal government. Cases are also screened based on a variety of factors including case type.
Leon County Schools - Adult and Community Education
Adult Basic Education is designed for those adults who want to improve their reading, writing, mathematics and everyday survival skills. No fees are charged for these non-credit courses. Instructional materials are provided for the students. An open entry/open exit policy allows students to enroll in the program at any time. Individualized, self-paced learning strategies allow them to progress at their own pace to meet individual learning needs.
Refuge House
The mission of the Refuge House is to provide direct services to battered women, their children and sexual assault survivors, as well as to work to eliminate the conditions in society that allow such violence to continue.
TalTech Alliance
The TalTech Alliance is dedicated to playing an active educational and informational role in nurturing tech-business, cultivating a superior tech-workforce, developing technology-driven opportunities and advancing Florida's Capital region as a center for technological achievement in the Southeast.
The TalTech Alliance is an independent, not-for-profit association of Tallahassee area technology business interests including corporations, entrepreneurs, service providers, investors and civic leaders. The TalTech Alliance is committed to making the Tallahassee area Florida's Capital for Technology.

Vocational Rehabilitation is an employment resource for businesses and people with disabilities. Their mission is to enable individuals with disabilities to obtain and keep employment.
Tallahassee Housing Authority
The Tallahassee Housing Authority is a quasi-governmental agency established in 1946 by State of Florida Statute 421.04 due to the shortage of decent, safe and sanitary housing and to provide persons of low-income affordable housing.
Wakulla County Senior Citizen’s Council
The Area Agency on Aging has designated Wakulla County Senior Citizens Council, Inc. as the central service provider in Wakulla County to serve as both a provider of supportive and nutrition services under the Older Americans Act (OAA) and as a Community Care for the Elderly (CCE) lead agency.
Workforce Florida, Inc.
Appointed by the Governor, the 45-member board of Workforce Florida, Inc. oversees and monitors the administration of the State’s workforce policy, programs and services carried out by the 24 business-led Regional Workforce Boards and the Agency for Workforce Innovation.
