
In February 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act to help stimulate the economy and provide employment and job training services to job seekers and employers throughout the nation. As a result of the Act, funding was identified to aid in the nation's recovery. To date, WORKFORCE plus has received $2.2 million to serve the communities of Gadsden, Leon and Wakulla counties.

Summer Connect 2009
Youth between ages of 16 and 24, interested in participating in an eight week summer work experience program will be placed with local employers. WORKFORCE plus will be serving 500 individuals under this initiative.
